Digital Creativity in BESD schools

A year long project conducted by CRIPSAT researchers at the University of Liverpool has helped to improve the outlook and prospects of many students who have behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD). The project explored how creative digital activities might impact on pupils and teachers in BESD schools and revealed some compelling results. Some striking possibilities for using such techniques, in BESD as well as in mainstream schools, are illustrated on this disc, together with some insightful reflections by participants in their own words. The potential for wider dissemination and development of these and similar practices will no doubt be recognised by those agencies sharing a concern to engage and motivate all young people in 21st century learning, including those currently disaffected.

The project was funded by Becta and supported Apple U.K, Canon U.K, and Kudlian software. A project report is available.
