CRIPSAT was awarded the contract by Welsh Assembly Government (DCELLS) to develop Scientific Enquiry Materials for schools in Wales. These bilingual materials aim to support teachers in their implementation of the new science curriculum 2008. They link to the Skills Framework and provide support for developing learners’ thinking in science activities. The materials comprise eleven units that encourage the active involvement of learners plus a Teacher’s guide.  Each of the thematic units contains ten activities that will engage learners for one or more lessons.

Each unit has:

• A range of activities to support learner thinking and enquiry.
• Teacher’s notes on how to manage an activity.
• Photocopiable enquiry sheets for individual learners, pairs or groups.
